Summer Concert 2023
Pentland Singers invite you to their Summer concert on the theme “Here Comes the Sun”, with songs from the Beatles, Beethoven, Billy Joel and Mercer/Mancini. The concert takes place on the 7th and 8th of June at 7.30pm at Balerno High School and will be conducted by musical director Ian Munro accompanied by pianist Ailsa Aitkenhead, who will also be performing a solo piano piece. Also included in the programme a fun selection of songs sung by the Pentland Junior Singers conducted by their musical director Rebecca Pennykid.
Tickets cost £10 with free entry for aged 12 and under. They are available from choir members, at the door on the night or by contacting the choir email address – pentland_singers@yahoo.co.uk.

Christmas Concert 2022
Pentland Singers invite you to their Christmas concert on the theme “Around the World at Christmas”, with songs from around the globe. The concert tales place on the 7th and 8th of December at 7.30pm at Balerno High School.

Come and Sing
Pentland Singers invite you to “Come & Sing” Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man choral suite. Written in response to the Balkans conflict, this selection from the full work is particularly poignant due to the current Ukrainian conflict.
Cost £10 on the door, from choir members or online from Eventbrite:
A performance at 6pm, open to the public and with donations to UNHCR, rounds off the afternoon.
Summer Concert 2022
The theme for the 2022 summer concert is Songs of the Land with music from Britain, Bavaria and Beyond. The programme will include Sprig of Thyme (trad arr. Rutter), Toward the Unknown Region (Vaughan Williams) and Songs from the Bavarian Highlands (Elgar) conducted by musical director Ian Munro. Also included in the programme a fun selection of songs sung by the Pentland Junior Singers conducted by their musical director Rebecca Pennykid plus a solo piano work performed by Ailsa Aitkenhead accompanist and Piano soloist.
