Bede Williams is the Musical Director/ Conductor of
the Pentland Singers. Bede was born in New Zealand and moved to Scotland
in 2003 to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He
graduated in July 2010 with a Masters in Orchestral Conducting and now
works throughout Scotland and further afield as a freelance conductor.
Not always a singer, Bede was drawn to the choral repertoire by spending
one season as a Second Bass in the Chorus of the Royal Scottish National
Orchestra. Hoping that he can help others to sing more beautifully than
he, Bede is delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Pentland
Singers, and loves living in Scotland as a Kilted Kiwi!
